It was marked with a large stone. Another two stones were delivered to the site according to the project of architect Vytautas Kundrotas to symbolise Samogitia and Aukštaitija, two ethnographic areas of Lithuania. In 2009, a new sign was erected here – a granite plaque mounted on stones with the coordinates of the geographical centre (55°19′48″ N and 23°54′20″ E).
