The names Lipliūnai or Montvilai appear in historical sources as far back as the 18th century. In 1822, the Lipliūnai estate with its manor house was mentioned as belonging to the nobleman A. Montvilai. In 1869, the Lipliūnai or Montvilai manor was inherited by Alina Žebrauskienė and her daughters Adelė and Marija.
In 1894, the manor passed to one of the daughters, Marija Žebrauskaitė Zberškauskienė, whose husband, Levas Zberškauskas, worked as a justice of the peace in Tallinn. The family lived in Tallinn, and their only daughter and heir of the Lipliūnai manor, Alina Marija Zberškauskaitė, completed pharmacy studies in Estonia and, upon returning to Lithuania, worked as a pharmacist in Kėdainiai.
In 1921, Alina Zberškauskaitė married Lithuanian officer Česlovas Christauskas. Their family, with their only son Steponas (born 1924), lived at the Lipliūnai manor until June 14, 1941, when they were deported and their property confiscated. Česlovas Christauskas was a captain in the Lithuanian Army, and he is mentioned in the encyclopedic publication “Officers of the Lithuanian Army 1918–1953.”
After Lithuania regained independence, the descendants recovered part of the manor, a portion of which was sold in 2019 to the current owner.
