In the middle of the 17th century, Old Šėta and its church were destroyed by the Swedes. The current brick Holy Trinity Church was built at the end of the 18th century. The exact date it was built is not determined, as historical sources provide different dates. It was restored after a fire in the beginning of the 19th century and later increased in size. The church has preserved valuable religious art and cult items.
