The festival is dedicated to the history of Kėdainiai and Dukes Radvilas. The programme includes concerts of historical dance and song bands, performances, tastings and lectures.

The town will celebrate its 652nd anniversary September 6–8. The festival is packed with a variety of cultural, entertainment and educational events. Lovers of shopping will be able to buy Lithuanian products at artisans' fair.

The young citizens of Kėdainiai, united into a community "Genas Kėdainiai" (Kėdainiai Gene), developed an idea to create a song for the town. The idea came into being, and the unofficial Kėdainiai town anthem was introduced in July.
