A letter written by Duke Janush Radziwill in 1653 addressed to Town Elder Wawrzyniec Kochanski mentions the tobacco shop. The Duke expressed his anger with the Scots, because contrary to the long-established custom where neighbours shared in the cost of cunstructing a common wall, they were unwilling to contribute to the cost of building a wall between the tobacco shop and the Town Hall.

Now it houses the insurance broking company "Socialinės garantijos".
